How Do Cutera Limelight Laser Treatments Work?
Cutera Limelight laser treatment works by penetrating the outer layers of the skin. This light source absorbs the affected cells in the damaged areas of the skin. Your body will then grow new and healthy cells to replace the damaged ones.
This procedure effectively treats skin imperfections like tiny veins, skin redness and sun damage. The treatment targets the face, neck, décolletage and hands for visible capillaries and reddish clusters.

Aftercare for Cutera Limelight Treatments
Our Cutera Limelight laser treatment is a non-invasive procedure. It is a safe and effective treatment to reduce brown spots, tiny veins, skin redness and sun damage without leaving unwanted scars and stitches. Our registered nurse is highly-trained to ensure laser treatments are performed properly.
Whilst Cutera Limelight laser treatments are generally safe, you may experience some side-effects that last for a few hours to a couple of days. These include bruising, redness and swelling. You may also get a “bug bite look” after the treatment.

- Avoid heat for 1-2 days, including saunas and hot tubs.
- Avoid procedures like waxing and hair removal treatment that may irritate the skin.
- Avoid skincare products with astringents, glycolic/salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol, tretinoin and other active ingredients.
- Avoid strenuous activities and exercising for 24-48 hours after the treatment.

What is Cutera Limelight Laser Treatment?
Cutera Limelight is a non-invasive laser treatment that effectively eliminates skin imperfections brought about by aging and the harmful sun rays. These include brown spots, tiny veins, skin redness and sun damage.
What parts of the body can be treated with Cutera Limelight?
Cutera Limelight laser treatment is used on the face, neck, décolletage and hands that have been affected by skin imperfections.
How many treatments will I need?
We typically find that you need at least two to three treatments to start seeing great results. However, additional treatments may be recommended, depending on the extent of the damaged skin. Our specialist will be able to assess this for you.
Is the treatment painful?
Our clients typically report minimal to no discomfort during treatment. You may experience a mild stinging sensation.
What should I expect from the treatment?
Expect skin redness and tiny vessels to subside. The darkened spot also flakes off and fades in one to three weeks. Mild swelling may also occur after the treatment that lasts a few hours.
Will the redness and spots reappear again?
New tiny vessels, brown spots and skin redness may appear if your skin continues to be exposed to sun damage. If this happens, you can always undergo the same laser treatment.
We always recommend to our clients to take good care of your skin in-between treatments, and minimise damaging sun exposure.
How do I prepare for my Cutera Limelight Laser Skin Treatment?
Avoid self-tanning four weeks before the treatment. Also, avoid waxing and other treatments that may irritate the skin two weeks prior. We ask that you do not wear makeup on the day of treatment.
