Aftercare for Pico Genesis Treatments
The Pico Genesis treatment allows for fast recovery time. Compared to other laser skin treatments, this treatment causes minimal damage to surrounding tissue. This means it causes less lesions, less pain, and provides faster healing time.
There would be minimal flaking of skin post-treatment. You may also experience minor bruising, redness or swelling in the area – however, again this is very minimal and should reduce after 24-48 hours . Downtime after the procedure is quite short, and you can go back to your daily routine straight away.
We do however recommend the following after your laser treatment:
- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, and use sunscreen to protect your skin when outdoors.
- Do not pick at your treated areas.
- Avoid excessive heat, such as saunas, spas and hot tubs for the next 24-48 hours.
- Avoid irritants (including exfoliators) on your treated area
